I have received a post from someone whom I believe to be the English translator of Yoani’s generationY blog site and that I am reproducing here.
“THERE IS NO ATTACK ON YOANI’S SITE AND YOANI IS JUST FINE!!!! Can you post an entry on your site! It’s really stupid… we knew they were going to do major work on the blog but thought the ‘first phase’ wouldn’t crash it… but it has. We have a notice all ready to go (translated and everything!) telling the readers about it… for the NEXT phase (upgrading the WordPress software) and here we are with the site crashed for a day already and we didn’t warn anybody.
OUR BAD!!!!!!!!! They’re working to get the site back up — it is NOT an attack — and again, YOANI IS JUST FINE. It just turned out to be a bigger deal because the site is SO huge now with all the comments etc.
SORRY EVERYONE… PLEASE SPREAD THE NEWS.”

It will be nice if some other people could confirm on this. Since I am not sure who wrote the above message is the actual English translator.
