Topographic Map of Cuba produced with SRTM3 data.

Cuba

Cuba

This nice topograhic map [with Hypsometric tints]  I created of Cuba using the SRTM3 data that is with a resolution of 90 meters!

Using GMT and some custom perl scripts. My prior post contains information on how to get the tools and data needed for creating maps like above. The map is got a lot better resolution that what is display here but for space reason I had to shrink it to small size.

“These Perl scripts require the curl utility to do the downloading of the tiles. If your system doesn’t have curl, you will have to download and install it or else tweak the scripts to use some other utility such as wget.”
